Controls

The game asks your name once, then every match counts towards your career totals on the leaderboard.

🏏 When you are batting

Swipe where you want to hit The direction of your swipe is the direction of the shot — flick to the leg side, straight down the ground, or through the off side. On a computer, drag with the mouse or use the arrow keys.

🎯

Time it as the ball arrives The timing bar in the top right fills as the ball comes. Play your shot in the middle of it and the ball flies; play early or late and it dribbles to a fielder.

LOFT to hit it in the air Hold LOFT for a shot over the fielders — the only way to clear the rope for six. A grounded shot stays down and runs along the turf.

LEAVE THE BALL Let a wide or dangerous one go past. Safer than a wild swing when the ball is nowhere near the stumps.

MOVE in the crease Shuffle forward or back before the ball is bowled to get to the pitch of it.

RUN, SPRINT and DIVE Runs are earned, not given: press RUN to go, SPRINT to beat the throw, DIVE to make your ground. CANCEL sends you back if you change your mind. Turn on AUTO RUN and the batsmen decide for you.

🎯 When you are bowling

Set the line and length Drag the marker on the pitch: sideways is your line, up and down is your length. Full and straight threatens the stumps; short and wide is easy to hit.

Pick your delivery Tap a chip to choose the ball — swing it away or into the batsman, spin it, or try a bouncer or yorker as your special.

Watch your front foot The slider shows where your front foot will land. Over the line is a no ball — a free run to them and a free hit next ball.

🏟️

Move your fielders FIELD sets the field before the over. Bring men up to stop the singles or push them back to guard the boundary.

Then BOWL Press BOWL to run in and RELEASE at the top of the arm. On a computer, space bowls.

One name, yours alone The first time you play, the game asks for a name. No two players can share one, so pick yours before somebody else does. No email, no password.

Five ways to be top Every finished match adds to your wins, runs, sixes and fours. Tap any column on the leaderboard to sort by it.

A tie means a super over Level scores go to a one-over shoot-out, exactly like the real thing.

Questions

Is it free, and do I need to install anything?

It is free and there is nothing to install. The whole match runs in your browser.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Turn the phone sideways and tap for full screen — the controls are built for a thumb. It works with a mouse and keyboard on a computer too.

Do I have to pick a name?

Only if you want to be on the leaderboard. You can tap LATER and play straight away; your matches just will not be counted until you choose one.

How do I hit a six?

Hold LOFT and time the shot in the middle of the timing bar. A grounded shot cannot clear the rope no matter how well you time it — it will run away for four instead.

Will my career be lost?

Your name and totals are kept on our server, but the game recognises you by a code stored in this browser. Clearing your browser data starts a new career.

Batting: swipe where you want to hit The swipe direction is the shot. Time it as the ball arrives — the bar in the top right tells you when.

LOFT for sixes Hold LOFT to go over the fielders. Grounded shots stay along the ground.

Bowling: drag the marker, then BOWL Sideways sets the line, up and down sets the length. Keep your front foot behind the line or it is a no ball.
